Food manufacturers are being warned of the possible food fraud surrounding imported basmati rice which could potentially be contaminated with GMOs.
GM rice has become a growing concern in the food industry over the past few years, and certainly over the past few months. Recent figures from the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed show that GM rice alerts are increasingly at a alarming rate.
