BRC certification body, Cert ID Europe is running a webinar session on 31 January 2013 on allergen awareness,
ideal for technical and production staff working in food manufacture and plant bakery
sites.
The two hour session, which will be
available twice on the day, has been developed to give a thorough overview of
allergens and control of cross contamination in order that users can meet the
requirements of the new BRC Standard 6 which states that ‘all relevant
personnel, including engineers, temporary staff and contractors shall have
received general allergen training’.
Covering areas such as the different
types of allergens and allergic reactions, practical control and risk assessment,
controlling cross contamination and product recall, as well as the legal
requirements of allergen labelling, the session will provide enough information
for a delegate to develop and run their own in-house awareness training. At the
end of the session there is a short test to assess understanding of the course
content.
