Cert ID Europe are proud to introduce ISO 22000, a standard which we will now be taking on and offering accreditation.
Well, what's it all about?
ISO 22000 may appear confusing at first, but it's really not! It is far less detailed than the typical BRC standard, therefore it lets you write your own procedures and allows you the freedom to be flexible, which the BRC tends not to do.
Well, why should I have ISO 22000?
Another good question.
ISO 22000 works well for smaller companies who feel the BRC standards are too limiting to their procedures and their manufacturing processes. ISO 22000 also works well on a international scale, more than the BRC for example.
ISO 22000 also releases the pressure of a full audit each year. It runs on a three year cycle, where years 2 and 3 audits closed out non-conformances and only parts of the standard.
So there you go, ISO 22000 in a nutshell! Obviously there is a bit more to it than just that, but we can't be doing all the work for you.
